Butt Joint Exhaust Band Clamp Sleeve Stainless Steel
Exhaust clamps play an important role in the overall exhaust system. They hold the pipes together and ensure none of the harmful fumes can escape.
How do you know if your exhaust clamp needs replacing?
Decreased Fuel Efficiency. Lower MPG can mean a lot of things but an exhaust leak is one of the more common reasons you may be spending more time at the gas pump.
Vibrations-Odd vibrations coming from the steering wheel or gas pedal are a sure sign of an exhaust leak.
Increased Engine Noise.
Note-Verify the right circumference. There are multiple sizes of exhaust pipes, and it's incredibly important to match it with the right sized exhaust clamp. Always physically measure the circumference of the exhaust clamp to verify that it matches the exhaust pipe where it is being installed. Installing the wrong sized clamp can cause additional damage to your exhaust system and may lead to the need for a complete exhaust system replacement.
