Introduction
German type hose clamps are similar to American type hose clamps. The current standards used are based on industry standards. They consist of a steel band and a housing. The steel band features flanged edges, with the inner side of the band having inwardly recessed slots and the outer side having outwardly protruding slots. The clamp head is spot-welded. The band width generally comes in 9mm and 12mm, with some German clamps available in a 5mm width. The standard thickness is 0.6mm, with a special galvanized material available at 0.73mm. The material options include galvanized iron, 201, 304, and 316 stainless steel, in both semi-steel and full-steel versions. It is important to note that when the screw and the steel band are made of the same material, there is a possibility of the screw seizing. This can be mitigated by surface galvanizing the screw.
The characteristics of these clamps are balanced torque and uniform pressure, providing a stable and secure fastening effect. However, like American type hose clamps, they have a drawback where the dead angle is located beneath the worm gear, making them prone to leakage. They are widely used in the connection of hoses in the automotive, home appliance, mining, industrial, and maritime sectors.

Product Description
There are many types of German-style hose clamps. Currently, the styles offered by YDCT include German bridge clamps, German hose clamp with handle, and German type head hose clamp. The German handle clamp is essentially a standard German clamp with an added handle, which can be made of metal or plastic. The handle color can be customized, similar to American handle clamps. The German type head hose clamp differs from the standard German clamp in that it features an additional latch on one side of the clamp head, which is no longer centered, and the screw design also differs slightly from the standard. For the German type head hose clamp, we primarily use stainless steel and recommend using 201 semi-steel instead of galvanized iron.
German bridge clamps commonly have a 9mm band width and are available in materials such as 201, 304, and 316 stainless steel, in both semi-steel and full-steel versions. One side of the steel band has a slot while the other side is smooth, and they are welded together with a single bridge plate (or sometimes two bridge plates). Similar to tiger clamp hose clips, these products also have left-handed and right-handed versions. When a handle is added to the clamp head screw, it becomes a German bridge handle clamp, specifically designed for use on spiral-wound hoses, corrugated pipes, and other externally corrugated spiral pipes.
